The measurement height needs to be as close as possible to the wind turbine height, so that data are credible and bankable. With taller turbines, the necessity of higher wind assessment towers is increased. The aerodynamic and thin profile of the SCOUT 50 does not disturb air flow and does not create turbulence any more than the traditional tubular towers.
The SCOUT 50 Package will help you measure as close as possible to the
wind turbine height with :

Scout 50 Wind Mast is manufactured to withstand the harshest of conditions. The Scout 50 is easy to erect and dismantle for a quick deployment in the field
The Aerodynamic and thin profile of our Scout series makes it the best tool to evaluate the wind resource at a given height. Strategic choices of material and configuration give to the tower the highest ice rating in its category.
The Scout 50 can is warrantied* for wind gusts as fast as 50 m/s (180 km/h) at top height from any direction without ice. The Scout 50 is warrantied for naturally occuring radial ice accumulation on guy wires up to 22.8 mm. When icing is present (even lower than 22.8 mm radial) the maximum wind gust is 150 km/h (41 m/s) at top height.
